About Me

I am a Master of Urban and Regional Planning candidate at Portland State University.

I was inspired to enroll due to Oregon's particularly complex land use law, as well as the legacy of active transportation in Portland, OR. I deeply appreciate how involved planners in Oregon have been over the decades, and the extensive impacts of their investment in community.

I studied History at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque.

Albuquerque was fascinating to me due to its unique cultural identity and history. The geography of New Mexico makes it one of my favorite places in the entire world. My community in Albuquerque made it an unforgettable experience.

I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee.

Nashville, my family's home for generations, has seen many fluctuations as its popularity grows in the public eye. I grew up in an impoverished community, and struggled with the legacy of Southern planning and gentrification; its car-oriented design and lack of public infrastructure were particularly difficult challenged. This is what initially inspired me to pursue planning- so that I could improve the prosperity and vitality of my community.
